Late Shri Autar Krishna Founder and Promoter

Shri Autar Krishna, Founder Chairman and Promoter of the Saksoft Group of Industries was born on 8th September 1931 in Delhi. Shri Autar Krishna graduated with a degree in Physics from St. Stephens College, Delhi. After completing an apprenticeship in the Foundry Industry in the United Kingdom, he was deputed to India as part of a team to set up the Durgapur Steel Plant.

Shri Autar Krishna always had a burning desire to be an entrepreneur, so after completing the assignment with the Durgapur Steel Plant, he promoted Sak Industries Private Limited. In 1962, Sak Industries established a joint venture with Fried Krupps of Germany for setting up Widia(India) Ltd., a market leader in carbide cutting tools and metal forming products. Over the years, Sak Industries promoted a number of successful ventures such as Nationwide Finance, Sak Abrasives Limited, Sak Technologies Limited and Saksoft Limited.

It was through sheer grit and determination that Shri Autar Krishna established the Group which today marks its strong presence in multiple industry sectors.

Saksoft Limited is the flagship company of the Group and has become one of the top mid-tier listed information technology companies in India. It is a leading company for business intelligence and information management services and independent testing services.

A visionary who is remembered for his business acumen and dedication to social causes, Shri Autar Krishna always worked for the upliftment of the under developed sections of society. As Chairman of the Shri Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak Trust Society, he was instrumental in guiding the society to sponsor education and healthcare services for the poor. He built a legacy of notable institutions like the BanarsidasChandiwala Institute of Medical Sciences and the Janki Devi Memorial College. He worked tirelessly for the Ramjas Schools at Pusa Road and Anand Parbat.

Shri Autar Krishna passed away on 4th July 2015 after a brief illness.
